26 Weeks!

26 Weeks!

Some people crave weird stuff or things they normally would hate when they are pregnant. Me? I just crave the stuff I normally like but way more than usual! I am a very picky eater, so there’s no way that i’d let getting pregnant allow me to like any of the many foods I dislike :) Although I will take this back later, I will be fine with Carson being a picky eater because I completely understand!
My Top 5 Pregnancy Cravings:
1.       Fruit Snacks…yes, that is an 80 pack of fruit snacks from CostCo in the picture! I may share a bag or two with Ryan. Maybe.
2.       Ice Cream…mainly blizzards from DQ!
3.       Cheezits…I almost bought a huge box of these from CostCo, but resisted the urge!
4.       Cheeseburgers…though I usually end up getting a chicken sandwich instead, which Ryan loves to point out! Ha
5.       Sno Cones…I cannot wait for our favorite sno cone stand to open for the season! Last year we took a picture of the menu, determined to try every flavor. This year we just might do it!

Spring Break “Babymoon” and Stella’s new ‘do!

Happy Spring Break! The Monday through Wednesday of Spring Break, Ryan and I drove down to San Antonio for a little “baby moon.” We stayed at a great hotel right on the river walk. It’s funny how when you are expecting you notice babies/strollers more than you usually would! We saw an unreal amount of babies everywhere we went, including dangerously close to falling into the river since there is no rail!!!

On Monday we spent the day walking the river and went to the top of the Tower of the Americas. I hadn’t been up there since I was 8 or 9! On Tuesday we braved the Spring Break crowds and went to Sea World! Despite the thousands of families who had the same idea, it was fun (for me!). Tuesday night we had dinner and spent time with Tori (one of my best friends from college), her husband Patrick and their adorable boys, Thomas and Robert. That was a highlight of our trip since we hadn’t seen them since our wedding! Wednesday morning we ate at LuLu’s cafe, a place known for its 3 pound cinnamon roll that was featured on the Travel Channel. Ryan talked me out of ordering one, but now I’m thinking of trying to make my own! It was a good chance to get away and relax together before our lives change forever!!!

Speaking of change…we boarded Stella while we were away and had her groomed. Guess our idea of a “summer trim” and the groomer’s idea of that were completely different, because now we have a naked dog! They must have taken off about 5 pounds of hair :( I’ll try to post a picture of her new ‘do soon!

On the 1 year anniversary of adopting Stella, she is bonding with her baby brother! This is one of the first times she has acted like she knows something is in my belly :) At 23 weeks I am starting to feel Carson move a lot more and Ryan has become an expert at quickly finding Carson’s heartbeat on our fetal doppler!
