Happy Spring Break! The Monday through Wednesday of Spring Break, Ryan and I drove down to San Antonio for a little “baby moon.” We stayed at a great hotel right on the river walk. It’s funny how when you are expecting you notice babies/strollers more than you usually would! We saw an unreal amount of babies everywhere we went, including dangerously close to falling into the river since there is no rail!!!
On Monday we spent the day walking the river and went to the top of the Tower of the Americas. I hadn’t been up there since I was 8 or 9! On Tuesday we braved the Spring Break crowds and went to Sea World! Despite the thousands of families who had the same idea, it was fun (for me!). Tuesday night we had dinner and spent time with Tori (one of my best friends from college), her husband Patrick and their adorable boys, Thomas and Robert. That was a highlight of our trip since we hadn’t seen them since our wedding! Wednesday morning we ate at LuLu’s cafe, a place known for its 3 pound cinnamon roll that was featured on the Travel Channel. Ryan talked me out of ordering one, but now I’m thinking of trying to make my own! It was a good chance to get away and relax together before our lives change forever!!!
Speaking of change…we boarded Stella while we were away and had her groomed. Guess our idea of a “summer trim” and the groomer’s idea of that were completely different, because now we have a naked dog! They must have taken off about 5 pounds of hair :( I’ll try to post a picture of her new ‘do soon!
